Director Kim Ki-duk's 'Bin Jip' has received Golden Spike Award, the highest prize, in the 49th Valladolid International Film Festival that lowered its curtain in Spain recently.

The highest prize, pressing competition films
According to CineclickAsia in charge of oversea marketing of this movie, 'Bin Jip' was selected as the highest prize unanimously, pressing competition films of 20 pieces such as 'Ae Fond Kiss' and '2046'.

'Bin Jip - 3-Iron' has received 35,000 euro (approximately 50 million won) for prize money. 'Bin Jip' has occupied second place in an audience prize vote also following 'Ae Fond Kiss'.

Plot Summary for Bin-jip - 3-Iron (2004) is as follows: A young drifter enters strangers' houses - and lives - while owners are away. He spends a night or a day squatting in, repaying their unwitting hospitality by doing laundry or small repairs.

His life changes when he runs into a beautiful woman in an affluent mansion who is ready to escape her unhappy, abusive marriage.
