'Glove' to see overseas distribution

The hit movie "GLove", directed by Kang Woo-suk, will be making its way into American and Japanese theatres!

CJ Entertainment announced on the 17th that "GLove" will open in theatres in the US on February 25th, followed by its opening in Japan slated for this summer. More specifically, the movie will start playing in LA's CGV theatres on the 25th, with AMC theatres in New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Atlanta, Chicago, San Jose, and Seattle.

A rep from CGV LA theatres said that the last movie directed by Kang Woo-suk, "Moss" was well received last year. This was not only by Korean-Americans, but by other ethnic Americans as well.

A rep from CJ Entertainment Japan had similar things to say about the anticipated opening in their country. He said that after the positive reviews on "Moss" last year, there are high expectations for "GLove". There's also expectations to add fuel to the fire of the Hallyu baseball boom, creating more Japanese support for Korean players such as Park Chan-ho and Lee Seung-yeop.

In Korea, after its release on January 27th, "GLove" attracted 1.84 million viewers.
