'The Battleship Island' Song Joong-ki to play National Independence Army soldier after his 'Descendants of the Sun' role: "I won't be swayed by people's reaction"

Song Joong-ki opened up about his role as a soldier in National Independence Army in the upcoming movie, "The Battleship Island".

Song Joong-ki, who received so much love for his role in KBS 2TV's smash hit drama, 'Descendants of the Sun' from his Korean as well as international fans, has starred on the cover page of fashion magazine Marie Claire.

In the revealed pictorial, Song Joong-ki matched a striped shirt to a pair of grey jean accessorized with a beanie. He also created the happy and heartwarming scene playing with a puppy to complete the perfect pictorial.

During the following interview, Song Joong-ki has answered the question about what he thinks of the immense attention to him after his appearance in 'Descendants of the Sun'. He says it makes him feel happy but he gets to become more careful not to hurt any one's feeling inadvertently and he feels it makes him grow mature little by little. While he is on standby to begin filming his next movie, "The Battleship Island", he says that, since he trusts the director and other actors of the movie, he has good anticipation about the good collaborating effect.

When he was asked about his role as an Independence Army solider, he answered, "Whether it's Captain Yoo Si-jin or an Independence Army soldier, I want to enjoy the strength that the work and the screenplay carry, without being swayed by whatever people may think of me".
