[Aisha's Take] Will You Be My Wife in Contract? 2023 K-Drama Couples in Contract Marriage

There are some tropes that you can never get enough of. The Contract Marriage trope is one of those clichés. When two people enter a marriage contract to get out of a troubled situation. But after a series of events together, love finds its way in between them. Those who vow to do anything but to fall in love, but eventually do- what can be more exciting to watch?

Even so, the trope has been seen many times in and out of K-Dramas. Contract marriage gained a rise in recent month, and we see many K-Dramas airing altogether with this concept.

We searched through 2023 and brought you a list of K-Dramas for you to watch.

 

"Perfect Marriage Revenge"

Synopsis:

Han Yi-joo (Jung Yoo-min) was adopted by a wealthy family but never felt loved. She is engaged to Jung Se-hyeok, but he is in love with her sister. Later, she dies in an accident.

Life gives her another chance and she travels back into time. Yi-joo vows to take revenge, so she breaks off her engagement and instead, proposes a contract marriage to Seo Do-gook (Sung Hoon). But Seo Do-guk wants it to become a real marriage.

Synopsis:

On a mysterious night, Goo-won's powers transfer into her body and the only way he can use them is by holding her wrists. On the other hand, Do-hee is in a desperate situation too. Synopsis:

Park  Yeon-woo (Lee Se-young) is a Joseon girl, who finds her husband dead on their first night. After being thrown into a well, she wakes up in the future. In 2023, when she meets and meets Kang  Tae-ha (Bae In-hyuk), a wealthy bachelor who looks exactly like her dead husband. Tae-ha is forced to marry someone to fulfill his ill grandfather's wish. When the two find themselves in a desperate situation, they enter a marriage contract.
