So what's the latest entertainment news

[Reporter : ] If you think about it, the music scene in Korea right now is mostly dominated by kpop groups and male artists; and lacking a lot of female solo artists nowadays. To change this ongoing pattern, five female artists are planning on a comeback this year.

K-Pop divas are coming back into the limelight after a long period on the sidelines. Baek Ji-young, Son Dam-bi, Lee Hyori, who was previously caught in a plagiarism scandal, and Ivy, are all making a comeback next month.

Baek Ji-young became the nation's queen of ballads after her series of hits, 'I don't love', 'Like being hit by a bullet', and drama "Secret Garden"'s soundtrack, 'That Man'. A year after her last album, she is coming back with an upbeat song, just like her debut album.

With two big hits, 'Crazy' and 'Saturday Night', Son Dam-bi is Korea's dancing queen. After her successful debut as an actress on the small screen, she is getting ready to go on stage as a singer once again. She will be working with producer Brave Sound for her newest songs.

Along with those divas, two more old faces are coming back after having to take a break, due to unfortunate scandals.

Korea's sexiest singer Lee Hyori will be coming back this summer after a plagiarism scandal with her new song 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'.

Singer Ivy is also looking forward to a fresh new start after a long dispute with her previous record company.

BoA and Lee Ji-eun are also planning a comeback later this year.

With K-Pop idols and male artists dominating the music scene, the return of these female solo artists should freshen up the K-Pop world.

I'm glad all of these talented artists are making a comeback...I'm personally a fan of songs sung by female artists, mostly because the lyrics and melody are easier for me to relate to than those of male artists.

[Reporter : ] I completely agree as well. I'm also just really excited because there are more songs I can sing at the karaoke. From ballads to dance music, I have a variety to choose from.

I can just imagine you spending hours and hours at the karaoke singing and dancing with your friends. It's quite an image.

[Reporter : ] Well if you care to join us..i'm sure the room can fit one more person

We'll see about that. Maybe we should figure out a schedule or something. And moving on, you have news from overseas[Reporter : ] Yes I do.

[Reporter : ] The events bulletin features three events.
