Bae Doona to join Wachowskis' 'Cloud Atlas'

Actress Bae Doona will star in the Wachowski Brothers' next project based on a 2004 novel by award-winning writer David Mitchell.

Bae has joined the screen adaptation of centuries-spanning novel "Cloud Atlas", which starts filming this week.
The book consists of six interlinking stories of six individuals at different points in time that span from 19th century to a post-apocalyptic period. Bae is expected to play a futurist character from the year 2144.
According to reports, the film directors were impressed with Bae's performance in "Air Doll" and asked to have a meeting with her.
Her co-stars will include Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Susan Sarandon, Hugo Weaving, Jim Broadbent, Ben Wishaw, and China's Zhou Xun, among others.
The film is currently in pre-production with a planned October 2012 release.
The movie has three directors ― "Matrix" trilogy creators the Wachowski Brothers and "Run Lola Run" director Tom Tykwer.
Filming will take place in Scotland, Spain and Germany.
