First of all, the producer and writer are the same people. Writer Park Jae-beom-I and producer Ki Min-soo have come together once again. Both dramas are also medical dramas which the star main characters either have autism or are vampires. It might be a coincidence but the Korean titles of both dramas are also three syllables. "Blood" kind of looks like the sequel to "Good Doctor", too.

"Blood" is about a vampire doctor that deals with human life. Former model Ahn Jae-hyun takes on the role of Park Ji-sang, a VBT-01 virus infectant. He is a vampire. He has all the features of a vampire including a young look and a thirst for blood.

The female character Yurita is played by Koo Hye-sun. She is also a doctor who is a genius doctor. The characters of "Blood" are also similar to those of "Good Doctor".

"Good Doctor" is a utopia "Blood" has to overcome. "Good Doctor" was a popular drama which was awarded foreign awards and whose format was bought by the American CBS for an American version of the drama. The fact that the crew from this outstanding drama is coming out with a new medical drama is outstanding alone. Many are waiting for "Blood" like they remember "Good Doctor".

However, it's widely known that no sequel is better than the first. It is likely that "Blood" might fail if the writer and producer only obsess with the know-hows that they've learned from "Good Doctor".

The fact that a rookie is in the lead role is another factor to worry about. He's been highly acknowledged by many but the pressure of having to lead a whole drama could be too much for a rookie like Ahn Jae-hyun.
