An official at SM explained yesterday that BoA is "preparing for a comeback in Korea with a new album" but added that "time of release and details about the album have not been established as of yet".

Her last album in Korea was "Girls on Top", released in 2005, and she has been busy working in Japan and U.S.

The songstress released her seventh album "Identity" in Japan last month, which she also co-produced. She will be wrapping up her two-month tour in the country on April 16.

BoA, one of the most active K-pop stars on the international scene, debuted in August 2000 with the album "ID; Peace B". She has released eight studio albums in Korea, six in Japan and made her U.S. debut in March 2009.

This year marks her ten-year anniversary of her debut in the music industry.
