BoA Releasing First U.S. Album

K-pop superstar BoA is releasing her first U.S. album. It comes out in America on Tuesday, in Korea and Japan on Wednesday, and later in China, Malaysia, India, Singapore and Thailand.

The self-titled album contains 11 songs including flagship song "I Did It For Love", and dance tracks "Energetic", "Eat You Up", and "Look Who's Talking". "Girls on Top", the title song for BoA's fifth album in Korea, has been arranged with new English lyrics. The album features various styles to highlight BoA's versatility.

A number of top American producers, lyricists, and composers had a hand in the album, including Sean Garrett, Brian Kennedy and Toby Gad. The video for "I Did It For Love" was directed by Joseph Kahn, who has made promos for Britney Spears, Chris Brown and Eminem and won the Best Video of the Year and Best Direction in the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards.
