BoA's 6th album to be sold in 8 Asian countries

Korean pop sensation BoA's sixth full-length album will be released in eight countries in Asia, according to her agency SM Entertainment on Thursday.

SM announced in a press release that the songstress' record "Hurricane Venus", which will go on sale both online and offline in Korea today, will hit music stores in Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong in mid-August. The license for "Venus" will also be sold to the Philippines, Japan, Indonesia and China sequentially.

BoA's upcoming record features 11 songs including the title track "Hurricane Venus", "GAME" and "The Person Next To Me", the latter two which were unveiled last week.

BoA, 23, splashed into the Korean music scene at the young age of 13. She is known as one of the most successful K-pop artists in the international scene, maintaining an active singing career in Japan and making her debut in the U.S. last year.

The singer, who is returning to the local music stage for the first time in five years, will be performing on televised music programs over the weekend including KBS' "Music Bank", MBC's "Music Central" and SBS' "Inkigayo".
