"Bread, Love and Dreams" stays at No. 1 for fourth week

KBS drama "Bread, Love and Dreams" remained the most-watched television show in the country last week, hanging onto the No. 1 spot on viewership ratings charts for the fourth consecutive week.

Figures by TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) and AGB Nielsen Media Research revealed that the series brought in ratings of 38.4 percent and 37.6 percent, respectively, during the week of July 19 to 25, indicating it may soon breach the 40 percent mark.

Ratings for the top Wednesday and Thursday primetime lineup show, about the success story of baker Kim Tak-koo, have been gaining each week since first going on air in early June.

Meanwhile, MBC's historical epic "Dong Yi" remained in second place with ratings of 28.5 percent on TNmS' survey and 24.8 percent on AGB's poll.

Rounding out the top three shows was KBS2's weekend variety program "Happy Sunday" with ratings of 23.5 percent and 21.1 percent on each chart, respectively.
