French Presenter Still Passionate About Promoting Korea

One of the best ways to learn about a foreign language and culture is to listen to its music. Arirang TV's two-hour radio show "Catch the Wave", which airs at 6 p.m. every day, delivers K-pop around the world based on requests from fans, while also introducing everything from culture and food to travel tips.

Fans in 200 countries tune in online, and the show gets over 100 comments on its website a day.

Adrien Lee hosted the show for almost five years until he left in early October.

Born in Seoul to a French mother and Korean father in 1983, he spent most of his youth in Paris. After earning a master's degree in engineering he came to Korea in 2008 to learn about the culture.

His sister Olivia suggested he come along to an audition for a TV show. She failed but he landed the job. Since then he has been passionate about his shows.

After five years with the radio show, he felt it was time for a break, but he promises to act as a promotional ambassador for Korean culture for the rest of his life.
