Ha Jung-woo's Directorial Debut a Runaway Success

Ha Jung-woo's directorial debut "Fasten Your Seatbelt" has drawn 200,000 viewers within just six days of its release.

According to the Korean Film Council, 17,019 tickets were sold on Monday alone, taking the movie to No. 5 in the box office charts. It is being shown on 334 screens throughout the country.

Earlier, the movie's distributor CJ Entertainment said that it recouped the production costs in just four days.

"Fasten Your Seatbelt" is a comedy about the chaos that ensues when a plane carrying a pop star, monk and paparazzi, among other passengers, runs into a Typhoon.
