"[Graphic News] Soju prices record steepest rise"

The Korea Herald recently posts this article (complete with infographic-who doesn't enjoy information represented visually?) that indicates that the price of one of Korea's most beloved alcoholic beverages, soju, has risen rather sharply over years. According to the article, since record keeping began sixteen years ago, the price of soju has climbed some 11.7%; conversely, "[t]he only food item whose prices declined was locally made tea, which dropped 0.1 percent".

"Koreans Feel the Pinch From Soaring Egg Prices"

South Koreans are facing a bit of crisis involving one of their essential ingredients: eggs. "Look at my menu, almost everything here needs an egg...not only the pancakes but noodles as well. I can't run my business if I don't have eggs", said on street vendor, commenting on the recent surge in the cost of eggs. "If the prices go even higher", said Jeon, an serious egg-lover, "there's a high chance that we may go eggless, which is a very odd thing for my household".
