South Korea is making serious waves when it comes to reducing food waste and it's helping to set a good example for other countries: "Mr Tay also cited the example of South Korea where after a decade worth of waste reduction targets since 2005 have seen stellar results. Up to 90 percent of food waste is recycled, in comparison to 13 percent here".

The Korea Food & Drug Administration (KFDA) is trying to encourage manufacturers to reduce the amount of sugar in an attempt to curb sugar-rich foods: "Our goal is to make sure every citizen's sugar consumption only makes up 10% of their daily calorie intake".
