A band of South Koreans artists sketch India's iconic mausoleum, the Taj Mahal, in 15 minutes recently as part of a public relations effort between the two countries. And they performed their process: "To make the performance interesting, the artists danced and made funny poses for the audience". The ambassador of Korea, Cho Hyun, said that "By expressing ourselves in many ways through paintings, drawings and performing arts, we can try to find our own image in others. I want more Indians to visit Korea".

"Kim Whan-ki's painting renews record price for Korean artwork"

An oil painting by Kim Whan-ki (1913-1974) recently sold for a record-breaking 7.63 billion won, making it the highest price paid for one of Kim's paintings since "12-V-70 #172" went for 6.3 billion late last year in Hong Kong. Kim is considered to be "the pioneer of abstract art in Korea".
