As 10 Magazine writer Yeji Lee, a Korean-Canadian, notes in her introduction, "Korea has an extremely underrated but phenomenal art scene that has, only very recently, been tapped into by the international market". Yes, K-art is on the rise (especially minimalism), and while older artists are being rediscovered and honoured, this list features three young, "third-culture" artists who Yeji describes as "individuals who have spent a significant period of their lives in Korea as well as in other countries". "Fashion designer Han Hyun-min seeks sophisticated and unfamiliar designs"

The Korea Times interviews Han Hyun-min, an award-winning fashion designer on the rise. Before launching his own brand, "MUNN", back in 2012, Han worked for Woo Young-mi and Lee Sang-hyun, two veteran designers. Now, after his second runway show at Seoul Fashion Week, this young talent is still set on expanding his brand by creating "in [an] unfamiliar way".

"BON BON LOVES SPRING"

Bee, an illustrator, traveller, and lover of "kitschy cute", has created a number of drawings inspired by her time spent in Seoul during the change of season. "Drawing inspiration from some of my photographs from previous Spring seasons and some from my weekends at the Spring festivals here in Seoul this year", writes Bee, "I made a few illustrations and a short animation video to try and capture my love for Spring in the cutest way possible!"
