"Islands in Korea get 'smarter'"

In an attempt to increase internet connectivity around the Korean Peninsula, KT has announced a project that aims to bring "regional balance" to access across the country with its "GiGA Internet network". They've distributed around 100 smart watches to Baengnyeongdo Island residents (to assist with their public healthcare needs), and have also installed high-quality CCTVs to reinforce coastal security, protecting fishermen and the surrounding communities.
