[HanCinema's News] Ryu Jun-yeol and Han So-hee Announce Breakup

Two weeks ago, actors Ryu Jun-yeol and Han So-hee announced that they were in a romantic relationship. That surprise announcement has been followed up with another one, as Ryu Jun-yeol and Han So-hee confirmed on March 30th via official channels that they were no longer together. The reason cited was for a desire on both of their parts to focus on their work as actors, although Han So-hee's agency apologized for not managing her feelings more appropriately.

Purportedly, the two first met at a photography exhibition which Han So-hee attended along with a personal friend. She introduced herself to Ryu Jun-yeol as his name had come up in connection with "Delusion" which she had been considering joiningg as the lead actress. The mystery horror project has been in the works since 2021, but has had no formal press releases about which actors were even being considered for leading roles in the Japanese Occupation era webtoon adaptation.

Ryu Jun-yeol was a logical choice for the project, led by director Han Jae-rim, as he had previously appeared in the film "The King" from 2017 as well as the upcoming "The 8 Show" for Netflix this year from the same director. Han So-hee, however, has had no collaborations with either one of them. With the breakup, the two are unlikely to both appear in "Delusion" although it is possible that only one of them may yet sign up with the project.
