[HanCinema's News] "Twinkling Watermelon" Tops Viu Charts in Indonesia and Malaysia

The international streaming platform Viu recently released data about which dramas are performing best in regions where the service operates. "Twinkling Watermelon" was, for the period of October 30th to November 5th, the top performing series in Indonesia and Malaysia. Additionally, it's the second most popular drama in Singapore and the Philippines, the third most popular drama in Taiwan, and the fourth most popular drama in Thailand.

Lead actor Ryeoun had a fan meeting in Thailand last month, a testament to the popularity of South Korean dramas in the Asian region. Viu also has the distribution rights for "The Secret Romantic Guesthouse" from earlier this year, which helped boost his profile specifically. "Twinkling Watermelon" had domestic South Korean ratings of 3.593% in its last episode, the fourteenth, and will end its run on tvN this week.
