[Hot Takes from the Noonas] Ha Seok-jin and Go Ah-sung consider workplace romance

Ha Seok-jin and Go Ah-sung are considering offers to star in the MBC workplace drama, "Radiant Office". He would play an abrasive marketing director, and she would be a temporary contract worker at the same furniture company.

Go Ah-sung's character purportedly faces repeat rejection in her job search until despair drives her to attempt suicide. At the hospital, she learns she has a terminal condition, but then, finally succeeds in getting hired. With nothing to lose, she tackles her job and her life with a perspective.

Ha Seok-jin has proven himself adept at playing jerks having done so to great effect in "D-Day", "Drinking Alone" and "Something About 1% - 2016". So, we know that he will have no problem tackling the role being offered to him.

Go Ah-sung is known more for her films than dramas, having done internationally acclaimed movies like "The Host" and "Snowpiercer". However, her melodrama, "Heard It Through the Grapevine" was a good showcase of her multi-dimensional acting.

"Radiant Office" was the winner of the 2016 MBC open screenwriting competition, so the script is expected to be a solid one. Even though the premise sounds mushy, with Go Ah-sung's acting chops and Ha Seok-jin's ability to play the charming jerk, "Radiant Office" would be a very promising drama to watch.
