Hyun-a to release new single 'Melting'

Kim Hyun-a of Korean girl group 4minute is to release an EP next week.

According to Cube Entertainment Wednesday, her second solo effort titled "Melting" will be available through various music websites from Oct. 17.

The company also said that the album has five tracks including lead song "Ice Cream", a first collaborative work between the 20-year-old singer and renowned hit-makers Brave Brothers.

Kim made her debut with 4minute in June 2009 in the single "Hot Issue", which became an instant hit in Korea. She also recently appeared in rapper PSY's worldwide hit "Gangnam Style".

The artist released solo single "Change" in 2010 which became hugely popular followed by albums "Trouble Maker" in 2011 and "Bubble Pop!" in 2012.

The company revealed Wednesday a teaser image for "Ice Cream" on social networking services including Facebook and Twitter.
