"Detective K" was officially introduced to the public at the ongoing 15th Pusan international Film Festival.

Showbox, the distributor of the latest Kim Myung-min flick presented the movie as part of their official line-up for movies that will be released in 2011. The evening event called 'Showbox is Magic' was held at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Haeundae, Busan on October 10. Other movies included in the line-up are "The Yellow Sea", "Love on the Debt", "In Love and the War", "The Front Line", "Moby Dick", "Client", and "Mister Go 3D". "Detective K" is a historical-mystery-comedy movie based on Kim Tak-hwan's detective series. It stars Kim Myung-min as a famous detective in the Joseon-era. Together with his sidekick played by Oh Dal-soo, they investigate an intriguing case of a woman who committed suicide. The movie is slated to be released in Lunar New Year 2011.
