Kara's third album is highly anticipated. The members of the girl group Kara, who have set remarkable records on Japan's Oricon chart while holding activities exclusively in Japan, said, "We have dreamed of holding a concert at Tokyo Dome since our debut, so we really hope our dream can come true".

Kara held a press conference at the SBS broadcasting hall on September 14 to commemorate the release of their third album entitled "Step", and they candidly revealed, "We gained more popularity in Japan than when we first debuted in Korea, and we were very happy that that huge popularity in Japan resulted in good records on the Oricon chart".

Kara will release this new album after a ten-month break in Korea since their second album "Jumping", which was released last year in November, and it will actually be their first album since some of the members had a dispute with their agency concerning their agency contract and settled the conflict after coming to an agreement. Kara members Koo Ha Ra and Han Seung Yeon said, "We have produced this third album with a greater effort than any other time and we feel pressure as we had quite a long break. All the members participated in preparing for this album including recording, choreography, music video, and costumes. We will present improved teamwork with a splendid performance on the stage".

The title song "Step", which was produced by "Sweet Tune" consisting of Han Jae Ho and Kim Seung Soo, is a pop song putting the elements of rock music and electronica music together. Park Kyu Ri introduced it, saying, "We have a key dance movement in the performance of 'Step' as we did when we performed our hit song 'Mister'. We will present a pleasant hip dance".

Kara will make a comeback with their third album. Han Seung Yeon and Kang Ji Young said, "We included a song that we first released in Japan after translating the song into Korean, which is entitled 'Dear Kamilia', and it is another recommended song along with other songs such as 'Strawberry' and 'Date'". Kara has plans to hold activities in Korea for three weeks. Park Kyu Ri said, "We are very sorry that we will hold activities only for three weeks. We will try to perform as many times as possible in this limited time period. We have always mentioned that Kara's attractiveness is based on our friendliness and we think that we can come closer to our fans when we try our best". After finishing activities in Korea, they will continue their activities in Japan.

While they were having a break, Park Kyu Ri appeared as a protagonist in the musical work "200 Pounds Beauty", Han Seung Yeon appeared as an MC of the SBS's TV program "Animal Farm", and Goo Ha-ra appeared in the SBS TV drama "City Hunter" as an actress. Kang Ji Young said, "When other members continued their individual activities in various fields, I felt very proud of them, and I personally wanted to challenge myself with acting".
