CJ Media to Increase 'Dramas' and On Media 'Survival Shows'
Pay program providers, including cable televisions that have programmed mostly movies, dramas and reality shows from overseas, set to competitively increase their ratio of self-produced contents this year. CJ Media and On Media, the two largest rival program providers in Korea, have merged into one. However, as they will be promoting separate projects for some time, their production lines show some differences.
CJ Media believes that their entertainment programs, including "Roller Coaster" and "Missy Young-Ae", have taken a firm root. As such, their strategy this year is to focus more on dramas.

A major domestic cinema chain said Tuesday that it will open a super deluxe movie theater combined with a restaurant in southern Seoul this week.
According to CJ CGV, the nation's largest movie theater chain, the new theater-restaurant dubbed "Cine de Chef" will open Thursday in its Apgujeong branch.
CJ said Cine de Chef will feature a top-notch movie screen three times larger than normal and an eleven-point-one-channel high-fidelity speaker system including floor speakers.
