According to the Army, there is a big possibility that Lee Seung-gi may serve his active duty at the headquarter of the Special Warfare Command regiment or a reginal brigade under the Special Warfare Command regiment. The source also said, "Since Lee Seung-gi is a soldier of military intelligence corps, he might be serving as an administrator after once he has been dispatched to his troops".

Lee Seung-gi, who enlisted on February 1st through Nonsan Army Training Center, received Excellence Award by achieving the highest scores among the fellow trainee soldiers. Special Army Warfare Command is well-known their so-called 'human weapons', thus their intense training. However, it is unlikely that Lee Seung-gi being a private soldier would be sent into an actual military operation. Lee Seung-gi's scheduled dismissal date is October 31st, 2017.
