One of the best ways to enjoy the festivity of the year-end would be watching a great movie with friends and family with buckets full of popcorn. Here are some of the movies, both local and from Hollywood, that will catch the eyes of movie-lovers during the holiday season.

"Romantic Island"

Four drastically different young men and women find themselves together on the beautiful island of Boracay. Each on their respective missions, they spend the last month of the year together and find that their romantic wishes start to come true as Christmas draws near. Starring Lee Sun-kyun, Lee Soo-kyung, Lee Min-ki and Eugene, this film will be a treat to watch with its beautiful backdrop of the tropical island and the interesting relationships between the two couples. "A Frozen Flower"

The film takes place during the Goryeo Kingdom (A.D. 918-1392) when the nation was under colonial rule by the Yuan Kingdom. As the time comes for the next King to be selected, the Chinese Kingdom has unexpected demands and the King of Goryeo is continuously threatened with death. Not having many choices, he orders his loyal general Hong-lim to sleep with his Queen to bear a son and the relationship between the three becomes complicated. Starring actors Zo In-sung and Joo Jin-mo. In theaters Dec. 30.

"Sweet Lie"

A film fit for couples, this "sweet" movie carries the story about Ji-ho, a jobless writer-to-be and her schemes to winning the love of her life. Ji-ho gets into a car accident, only to find her first love Min-woo behind the wheel. Determined to make him fall in love with her, she starts to pretend to have lost her memory.
