Users can download the program for free at whale.naver.com and install it on their PC, but the Mac version will have to wait.

"This is a pilot period", a Naver spokesman said. "We will officially launch Whale in July with a version for mobile phones".

Whale has an omni-tasking feature that divides the screen in two. When a user searches a keyword, the results turn up on the left screen and the content of the selected item on the right.

Users can also quickly search key words in website text by highlighting them and clicking.
