Reevaluating Won Bin's painting skills. Kang Yong-suk "delicate brush strokes"

On the 9th episode of TV Joseon's variety program "Pumpkin Seed" aired on the 28th, there was a tense talk battle about the topic of "Stars near Museums". After listing the names of celebrities with artistic talent, the panel took time to view the celebrities' pieces. The first of these were Won Bin's paintings.

Kim Gu-ra was impressed by his hidden talents and commented saying "I was shocked. I mean he even looks like a piece of art". Hearing testimony that his painting skills were the result of two years of private tutoring made everyone more impressed.

Won Bin said that, after talk had spread to Japan, he receives requests to sell his painting for a high asking price from Japanese fans. He replied with "Since it is just a hobby, I do not feel comfortable selling them" and also said that he refused an offer for a personal arts exhibition as he is shy about self-promotion.

After viewing Won Bin's painting, Kang Yong-suk said "there is way of learning which involves copying pieces by famous painters". He then named dropped artists" name such as Gauguin, and Egon Schiele.

He complimented Won Bin's painting by saying "from the delicate brush strokes, it seems like you had a lot of practice. It is not something a person with one or two years of experience could paint".

The show "Pumpkin Seed" also revealed paintings which Won Bin painted about his feeling after returning from a volunteer trip to Africa and a business card painting he gifted to his former manager who he worked with for a long time.
