Sony Pictures Classics buys Spring, Summer...

Sony Pictures Classics, one of the best known distributors of arthouse and foreign-language films in the U.S., has picked up North American rights to Kim Ki-duk's acclaimed ninth film, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring. The film depicts various stages in the life of a man living at a remote Buddhist temple. A co-production between LJ Films and Pandora Film in Germany, it also received strong critical praise during its world premiere in competition at the Locarno International Film Festival in August.
