South Korea continues to tune into World Cup

World Cup fever continued to dominate South Korea's TV charts last week with four of the most-watched 10 shows in the country from the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa including South Korea's second group match watched by over half of the country.

Figures from TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) on Monday revealed that South Korea's Group B match against Argentina on June 17 scored viewership ratings of 51.5 percent, while recording slightly lower ratings on AGB Nielsen Media Research's poll with ratings of 47.8 percent.

In its second round of 32 game, South Korea was defeated by Argentina 1-4. South Korea will be playing Nigeria on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, historical drama "Dong Yi" claimed second place with viewership ratings of 32 percent and 28.2 percent, respectively, on both charts.

New KBS series "Bread, Love and Dreams", about the success story of baker Kim Tak-koo, played by Yoon Si-yoon, entered the charts at No. 3 scoring respectable ratings of 26.9 percent on TNmS' survey and 25.3 percent on AGB's chart.
