In the SBS TV drama "Deep-rooted Tree" King Lee-do (Song Joong-ki), who has not been able do anything to stand against his father Lee Bang-won (Baek Yoon-sik), finally decided to speak for himself.

He felt extreme anguish at his father for framing an innocent craftsman then killing him and decided that he will fight against him. The father and son came to conflict when Lee-do refused to follow orders to kill and child of a servant.

Lee Bang-won put a sword to his son's neck, but even in the heart stopping moment, Lee-do didn't' lose his cool as the king. He yelled at his guarding warrior Moo-hyool to punish whoever killed him. Moo-hyeol was given to Lee-do by his father and he was a great swordsman.

Lee-do stood up to another one of his father's attacks. When his father sent him a message to kill himself, instead, Lee-do found a clue he'd been looking for so long. He was happy to have found a counterattack. He then focused all military power to himself and went to look for his father. The best part was when he didn't care about the arrows flying in his direction but kept on waking towards his father.

While Lee-do was a genius but was oppressed by his father in the first episode, he suddenly changed into his charismatic character from the second episode, emphasizing his existence.

When he shows the suffering of a young king with tears and becomes more and more like a king, viewers say, "He makes it so easy to focus", "I am seeing Song Joong-ki in a different way now" and more.

How Song Joong-ki supports Lee-do's existence in the future is something to look forward to.
