Mo Hwi-cheol (Oh Ji-ho) left Ko Kang-hee's (Park Jin-hee) house for a while because of Cha Ji-soo (Lee Jee-hoon). He used to say 'live or die' but ever since he realized there were people he had to protect, he became more careful.

Cha Ji-soo read his mind and said, "You're scared, but you didn't used to be like that. Still, you won't get away from me until the day you die". Mo Hwi-cheol told himself, "I need to hide and watch things for a while" and left Kang-hee's house without Geum-bi (Heo Jung-eun).

While he laid low, Geum-bi was about to be sent to the orphanage. Ko Kang-hee claimed she will look after her but the services said she was a single parent and that couldn't happen.

In the end, Geum-bi was sent to the orphanage and she tried to look like it didn't bother her and said, "Even if he comes back, I'll stay in the orphanage. I don't think we get along". Kang-hee told her, "You can consider my home as your home and come visit anytime".

Mo Hwi-cheol appeared at the house a few seconds too late and saw the car with Geum-bi had just left. He ran after it yelling for it to stop. Eventually, the car stopped and he held Geum-bi in his arms as she cried and asked where he'd been.
