Veteran actor Choi Min-sik, best known for his delivery of the title role in 2004 film, "Oldboy", will work with aspiring performers in a master class he is to conduct on May 3 at the Megabox in Chonju, North Cholla Province.

The first of a two-session program of the upcoming Jeonju International Film Festival (JJIF), Choi is expected to share personal experiences and give advice to a class of 100 young actors, festival organizers said in a press release.

Japanese movie star Naoto Takenaka of "Shall We Dance?" and "Water Boys" will be holding a master class the following day in the same venue.

JJIF, a non-competitive celebration of films in its seventh year, will launch on Apr. 27 and run through May 5. JJIF's Master Class program was formerly known as "Filmmakers Forum". While cinematographers and film score directors have held workshops in the past, this is the first time for actors to take part.

The festival's official Web site ( http://www.jiff.or.kr ) will be accepting applications from March 10 to Apr. 10. Cost is 20,000 won fee for participating in both sessions.
