[Star Talk] Cho Yeo-jeong "Casa Amor, Exclusive for Ladies", "It related a lot to me"

How many fans knew that Cho Yeo-jeong could be funny? Probably not many. No one needed to. Cho Yeo-jeong is the symbol of cute, cheerful and sexy. That's enough to explain who she is.

However, she started being funny. The starting point of that was in the movie "Obsessed". She didn't appear much but every time she did, she seemed funny and appealed to the audience who might've thought she would do well in comedy.

Then it happened. She starred in the comedy movie "Casa Amor, Exclusive for Ladies". This is her first comedy about a career woman Baek Bo-hee who gets fired from her job and CEO of an adult toy shop Oh Nan-hee collaborating on a business. Cho Yeo-jeong plays Baek Bo-hee.

"I knew then I should become more sincere and desperate. The movie itself is very comical. I needed to be funnier. If I focused only on the situation, I could have the audience laugh in the exact places I wanted them too. I think it's amazing how the director thought about me for this role and I appreciate it. I've always loved comedy".

Cho Yeo-jeong's role of Baek Bo-hee is a working mom. She can't give up her work or her family as the marketing director of Toy and Joy and the co-owner of Casa Amor. She's quite favored in her workplace although her work sometime distracts her from her family.

"I'm not a working mom but I related to a few things in the movie. My job is actually very intense. So, my head nodded to a few situations and I understood what my character was dealing with. I don't think I should judge if I'm a workaholic like Bo-hee, but I try to keep a balance. Bo-hee doesn't think she is perfect so she doesn't try to be. Thankfully I'm not married yet so I can enjoy my life a little more than her".

We asked her what she means why 'balancing'. The answer was simple. She tries to give time for herself. She's been busy with work since last year but she tries hard to make time for herself.

"There are so many things to do when you are not working. I spend a lot of time with friends. We go to eat and chat. We look for the best places. Then again, I don't think I'm that active. I am shy and often stay alone. The public remembers me as someone cheerful but I like being alone. If I am with people for a couple of days, I must find time to be on my own. I drink coffee, work out and read books or watch movies. Time flies when you're lounging around like this".

It's 2015 now. We had to ask her what her New Year's plans were. We expected a list of resolutions and plans but she had none. Not specifically. She just wants to maintain being herself like she always has.

"There's nothing special because it's the New Year. I do what I do and that's enough. No, it's still tough. There's no room for anything new. I want to maintain my health, work out and study. If there has to be something new then it'll be another project. I want to be happy with the people, the family and things I have at the moment".

"Kim Tae-woo is devoted, Clara is an energizer...they are the best partners".

Another point of the movie is the chemistry between the cast. Cho Yeo-jeong and Kim Tae-woo appear as a married couple and Clara is her business partner. The chemistry doesn't only show on camera.

"I wondered how I would have done it without Kim Tae-woo as my husband. We depended on each other a lot as partners. I used to say my husband was here when I saw him on set. He's very jolly and devoted to the movie. No one can be like him. He even cares about everyone's midnight snacks. He has many ideas and brings the scene to life".

"On the other hand, Clara has great energy. It's fun talking to her. She's a very hard worker so she brings about good results and once she gets comfortable, she's all out there. Although we were tired from the busy schedule, we clicked mentally. I loved working with them".
