If you don't own a smartphone or want to invest some more time into learning Korean from the comfort of your desk, check out some online options below (credits to the Korea Tourism Organization):

Absolute Beginner

Who it's for: Got 30 minutes? This course claims it will teach you the Korean alphabet in just half an hour. I say that's a pretty sweet deal. At the very least, you'll be able to spell your name in Korean!

Beginner
Who it's for: You're planning on visiting Korea and just need a few phrases to get by. Or if you're a big K-pop or Korean drama fan and interested in learning the basics to understand some of the dialogue or lyrics. Includes an introduction to the Korean alphabet, basic grammar and simple expressions.

Intermediate
Who it's for: You already know the basics. You've got the "gam-sa-ham-ni-da" and "ahn-young-hae-sae-yo" down like a pro and ready to kick it up another notch. These lessons have been developed in the theme of travel and adventure, allowing learners to take a virtual journey to Seoul and its nearby popular tourist destinations. There are 30 extensive units, with each unit containing three main parts: Reading, Conversation, and Activity sections.

Intermediate-Advanced
Who it's for: You've made up your mind! You're coming to Korea, whether it's just for a trip or to live here. This program is also based on a travel theme, but a little more difficult than the intermediate level. This program consists of 270 Korean expressions in total which can be used for travelling around Korea. Conversational elements to introduce Korea's culture and popular travel spots are also included in this program. In addition, this section has a built-in voice listening function and detailed explanations for the Korean expressions.

Those are a few to get you started, but check out the Korea Tourism Organization's website for more options.
