Standing in front of the camera, Rowoon pulled out A-cuts full of "cool explosive charm".

Rowoon, who burst into action in 2023, stood out as an 'emerging rom-com king' this year, playing only the male lead in romantic dramas twice. Following JTBC's "Destined With You" which ended in October, he returned to his home turf with KBS's "The Matchmakers" which is currently being popularly aired and is constantly shooting at the heart of women with his powerful acting skills that go back and forth between melodrama and comic.

Rowoon, plays a frustrated widowed husband Sim Jeong-woo. However, he said human Kim Seok-woo, is the opposite. Rowoon said, "I'm far from frustrated. I control myself before I feel angry", he said.

Sim Jeong-woo is a new concept couple manager in the Joseon Dynasty, helping the marriage of a widow and widower. When asked if he's ever arranged a blind date, he said, "I'm not interested in others' relationships at all. It gets tiring if you start getting involved".

From "She Would Never Know", "Tomorrow", "The King's Affection" and "Destined With You", Rowoon, who mainly co-starred with elder women, also expressed his feelings about working with younger actress Cho Yi-hyun. "Yi-hyun came out older than me in the drama, so I gained about 3 kilograms to look cute", he said, making people laugh.

What about Rowoon's actual love style, which is shaking the hearts of viewers across modern and historical dramas? Rowoon said, "I think it's good to keep a proper distance from your loved ones. Rather than arresting and violating freedom, I hope they develop and rise to each other", he confessed his honest view of love.

It's already been 7 years since he debuted as an actor. Rowoon, a 'growing actor', worked hard step by step to become the main lead. He said, "I tend to read the scripts a lot and memorize others' lines too, so I have a hard time in the beginning process. I put the script under my pillow and pray for it to come into my head while sleeping", he confessed.

Although he is a 'prepared actor' who has created countless 'life characters' such as Sim Jeong-woo, Jang Shin-yoo, Jung Ji-woon, and Haru, Rowoon said, "I don't think I represent any work at the moment, but I think that's an advantage. I think it's very attractive to see me as the character itself, not Rowoon", he said, expressing his thoughts.
