"Tazza: The High Rollers", 2006

The criminal thriller tells viewers about Go-ni, a guy who has been excited about gambling since early childhood. During one of the games, the protagonist was confident Lady Luck was on his side and bet everything he had and lost. His opponent turned out to be a cheater who eventually took all his money.

Of course, Go-ni wouldn't leave the outcome as it is, and revenge becomes his life goal. The gambler starts following the guy who deceived him, but everything is harder than he thought. After serving a prison term, the player contacts his associates who help him reach the criminals. He systematically destroys all the people involved and gets to the leader of the gang. But the latter understands the essence of Tae-sok and offers him a decisive game...

"The Divine Move" fully demonstrates all the dangers of underground gambling and the negative consequences of addiction. Even though the baduk game has a long history and holds an important place in Korean culture, the country's government does everything not to encourage people to participate in real-money gambling.
