'The Joseon Magician' with Yoo Seung-ho and Go Ara has begun filming

Movie 'The Joseon Magician' has commenced the shoot on Febuary 27th.

On March 2nd, Lotte Entertainment in charge of investment and distribution has announced about the beginning of the filming and opened the script reading session to the press.

'The Joseon Magician' depicts the story of a magician in Joseon, who could not avoid going against his destiny after he became entangled in an enormous conspiracy.

Beginning with the first shooting on February 27th, the filming will last for four months over the locations such as Yongin, Namyangjoo, Moongyeong, Sokcho, and Hwasoon including the on-set filming.

The actors had joined together to practice magic, action acting and script reading prior to the main filming session. They also participated in the traditional ritual to wish for the trouble-free filming and the success of the film.

After dismissed from the national military service, Yoo Seung-ho chose 'The Joseon Magician' as his first project. He took the role as Hwan-hee in the movie and he will show the magic tricks at an expert level he has been trained for before commencing the shoot. He also practiced action acting skill to bring the strong guy character to life, who will risk everything for love.

Before commencing the shoot, Yoo Seung-ho said, "Since it's my first project after being dismissed from the military, I am excited with the movie. I'm feeling the two year break is huge for me. It made me think 'Will I be able to do it well'. One thing for sure is though I will take a greater responsibility for what I do than two years ago" and "Although I'm not sure how long it's going to take for me to get used to working, I'll do my best. I am asking my senior actors for help and support".

Go Ara, who took the role as Cheong-myeong princess, also practiced martial arts and horse riding. Kwak Do-won took the role as Gui-mol, who is determined to revenge against Hwan-hee due to what happened in the past. Jo Yoon-hee took the role as Bo-eum as a beautiful blind gisaeng, who is good at acupuncture and conversation. Lee Kyung-young, Park Chul-min, Son Byung-ho, and Jo Dal-hwan have also joined in the movie.
