Ahn Chang-hwan and Jang Hee-jung to Act in "Like Flowers in Sand"

Actors and married couple Ahn Chang-hwan and Jang Hee-jung will work together in the drama "Like Flowers in Sand".

The agency H&Entertainment said on the 27th, "Ahn Chang-hwan and Jang Hee-jung will appear in the new drama "Like Flowers in Sand".

"Like Flowers in Sand" is a story that takes place when the old ssireum prodigy Kim Baek-doo (Jang Dong-yoon) and the once alley leader Oh Yoo-kyeong (Lee Joo-myung) reunite. The sight of young people blooming flowers on the sand against the backdrop of ssireum city of Geosan is expected to bring excitement.

In the drama, Ahn Chang-hwan and Jang Hee-jung play Kyeong-moon and Hyeon-jin, a couple who run a mill at Geosan Market. Kyeong-moon is one of the few non-sssireum people and quiet person in Geosan, who goes around in the neighborhood and is pushed around by his wife in the family. On the other hand, Kyeong-moon's wife, Hyeon-jin, likes gossip so much that it is said that all rumors of Geosan come from her mill, and she never misses out on neighborhood gatherings.

Above all, the reason why they are expected to perform is that they are actually a real couple who have been married for 13 years. Last year, Ahn Chang-hwan and Jang Hee-jung appeared in an SBS entertainment program, gaining popularity for their pleasant sense of entertainment as well as their warmth of caring for each other like best friends.

Meanwhile, the new drama "Like Flowers in Sand" is scheduled to air in the second half of the year.
