In a recent interview with OSEN, he said, "I had retina surgery when I was in high school because there was a hole in it. In worse cases, people can lose their sight".

Ahn Jae-hyun served in the military until 3 years ago. He said, "I finished my duty earlier than others. There was no work when I was in service. I was also in public service because of my eyes. I have sponges in my eyes. One day my eyes felt too bright to even make out a person and I decided to undergo surgery. It was on my birthday and I had to stay in bed for 2 months - I didn't even go for school exams".

"I need to get a check-up every month. I use lenses, so I feel pressured when I do action scenes. My eye was once hit during a scene in "You're Surrounded". I thought about a lot of things during the 10 seconds of pain. But I was alright and didn't need to go to the doctor".

Ahn Jae-hyun took on the role of Park Tae-il, a detective in "You're Surrounded".
