Announcer Song commits suicide

Announcer Song Jee-seon killed herself by jumping from her apartment building in southern Seoul, police said Monday. The suicide comes about two weeks after she posted messages implying suicide on her Twitter account.
According to police, the 30-year-old announcer at MBC Sports Plus was found dead outside her studio apartment in Seocho-dong around 1:46 p.m. Rescuers of the National 119 Rescue Services transferred her to a nearby hospital, but she was declared dead on arrival.
An apartment guard who found the body said he heard a thud and found Song bleeding on the ground of the outside parking lot. The window of her home on the 19th floor was open, and police suspect she killed herself by jumping from the apartment.
On May 7, the cable channel announcer hinted at suicide by saying on her Twitter, "Please give me strength if you can't take me. It is so painful. I took three sleeping pills", and "God, please help me. I was going to jump but was frightened. I was to hang myself but it hurt. I said good-bye to the world through the rain. Please make me rest in peace".
Finding the tweets posted at 4 a.m., her followers were shocked and one of them reported this to the rescue service. When rescuers reached her home, she was sleeping. She told police later that she wrote them herself and was suffering depression.
On Sunday, a day before the suicide, she also admitted to rumors about a relationship with Doosan Bears' pitcher Im Tae-hoon, saying they've dated for about a year. But Im denied it the same day.
Following the row surrounding her tweets and ensuing gossip, the cable sports channel recently fired her from a biweekly program.

트위터에 자살 암시글을 올렸던 MBC스포츠플러스 송지선 (30.여)아나운서가 19층 자택에서 뛰어내려 스스로 목숨을 끊었다.
경찰에 따르면 23일 오후 1시50분쯤 서울 서초구 서초동의 25층짜리 오피스텔 건물 앞에서 송 아나운서가 숨져있는 것을 경비원이 발견해 경찰에 신고했다.
송씨는 119구조대에 의해 인근 병원으로 옮겨졌으나 숨졌다.
경비원은 "'쿵'소리가 나서 나가보니 주차장 입구에 사람이 피를 흘린 채 쓰러져 있었다"고 말했다.
경찰은 출동할 당시 이 오피스텔 19층 송씨의 집 창문이 열려있었고 집안에서 유서가 발견된 점 등으로 미뤄 송씨가 스스로 목숨을 끊은 것으로 보고 있다.
송씨는 지난 7일 오전에도 자신의 트위터에 자살을 암시하는 듯한 글을 올려 경찰과 119구조대가 출동한 바 있다.
