Movie star Lee Sung-jae will invite 300 children in need to Canadian bubble artist Fan Yang's "White Bubble Show".

Every year, the show has offered free admission to disadvantaged children. A total of about 2,000 children had been invited to the show as of last year.

This year, Lee, who was appointed promotional ambassador for the show, has been cast in local hit films "Art Museum By The Zoo", "Public Enemy" and "Holiday". He is known for his charisma and muscular body.

"I joined this event because I wanted to have a chance to share the love of family with children from unfortunate circumstances", Lee said.

"I hope the invited children enjoy the bubble show and have fun", he said.

The invited children will view the show on Dec. 1 at 1:30 p.m., and they will be also presented with bubble toys.

Yang's show will be staged at the Broad Hall in Mok-dong until Jan. 1, at the Seoul Open Theater Chang-dong from Jan. 4-7 and at the Oulim Theater in Koyang, Kyonggi Province, from Jan. 10-14.

He boasts 11 world records, including one for the biggest spherical soap bubble and another for the world's longest bubble wall _ 156 feet _ in 1997.

Yang has been giving bubble performances for over 20 years. Since his first bubble show in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1984, he has toured more than 100 countries, including the U.S., Europe, South America and Asia.

Since the show was first performed in Korea in 2003, it has been staged for three consecutive years after winning popularity among Korean children and young couples.

He updates his performance each time by modifying and improving his laser equipment, lighting equipment, bubble machines, video images and staging.

He makes small bubbles using his hands and bigger and more fantastic bubbles with tools. He traps some audience members in a huge bubble during the show.

An English version of the show will be offered every Thursday. Every Friday, there will be a special proposal program to give young couples a chance to confess their love in bubbles.

Tickets cost from 23,000 won to 33,000 won. For details, call (02) 3446 1210 / 6554.
