Choi Jung-hoon Passes Away at the Age of 83

Senior actor Choi Jung-hoon passed away at the age of 83.

Choi Jung-hoon died of pneumonia at noon on the 10th.

The deceased was born in Anju, Pyeongannam-do in 1940 and was selected as KBS' first public recruitment talent in 1961. In 1972, he gained great popularity as Kim Sung-joon, an independence activist, in the KBS drama "Traveling", and was active in the 1970s and 1980s.

Choi Jung-hoon appeared in "Daemyung", "Nation", "Dawn", "Toji, the Land", "General Oh Sung Kim Hong-il" and "Prince Myeongdong" and won the Best Actor Award at the KBS Acting Awards in 1975.

In the 2000s, he appeared in Kim Su-hyun's "My Man's Woman" and "Life is Beautiful".

The mortuary was set up in VIP room 1 of the funeral hall of Hallym University Sungsim Hospital in Dongan-gu, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. The send-off is at 9 a.m. on the 12th, and he will be rested at the Eden Paradise in Icheon.
