According to Staran Entertainment, Choi will take on the role of General Yoo Jeong-yeok, a young and ebullient young man with beliefs and isn't afraid of the military regime and dreams of coup de tat.

Previously, Choi Kyu-hwan has displayed his acting talents in dramas, "Toji, the Land", "Yeon Gye So Mun" and movie "Portrait of a Beauty". In his recent TV Chosun drama "Stroke of Luck", he starred as handsome guy Cha Myeong-cheol, Im Chang-jung's rival and became a necessary existence.

Unlike the comical role of Cha Myeong-cheol in "Stroke of Luck", Choi is a charismatic character in "God of War" and is about to go into a change.

Meanwhile, "God of War" is a life story of Kim Joon (Kim Joo-hyuk) who is a slave but rises to the greatest position after beating Japan's feudal government which controlled the Koryo times instead of the imperial family for over 60 years during the military regime. It is broadcasted every Saturday and Sunday at 8:40PM.
