Actress Moon So-ri, director Park Chan-wook and 145 other members of the local film industry will gather on Wednesday to officially announce their support for the Democratic Labor Party (DLP) in the upcoming elections.
The members will be supporting the party because it "represents sincere progress and understanding of the people", they stated through a news release yesterday. "There now needs to be a political party that can understand laborers, farmers and the working class".

Among the members to show their support for DLP include Kwak Yong-su, a representative of Indiestory, a film marketing company; Kim Yong-dok, a programmer for the Pusan International Film Festival; and Bong Joon-ho, the director of the hit film "Salin-ui Chuok (Memories of Murder)".

Twenty of the members will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Nutinamu Cafe in Seoul.
