MBC said on the 4th, "The new Friday-Saturday "Black Out" will be broadcast for the first time in August".

"Black Out" is a drama about a young man who becomes a murder ex-convict after being named as the culprit of a mysterious murder case in which a body is not found, revealing the truth of the day 10 years later, based on Nelle Neuhaus' popular novel "Death to Snow White".

The script of "Black Out" which will be produced as a drama, is written by Seo Joo-yeon, who wrote the drama "Save Me 2" and directed by Byun Young-joo, who presented the films "Helpless". "Black Out" which is drawing attention as director Byun Young-joo's first drama production, was invited to the non-competitive section of the 7th Cannes International Series Festival held in April and was released as a world premiere in the RENDEZ-VOUS section.

The production team of "Black Out" said, "It is a story that reveals the ugly nature of neighbors who are more like family than family members in the background of a closed village", adding, "As the episodes continue with a sensuous production of both sides of human beings and a solid story, they will continue to turn the tables and give viewers a strong impression".

Meanwhile, MBC's new drama "Black Out" is scheduled to premiere in August.
