[HanCinema's Drama Review] "539 Yeonnam-dong" Episode 1

2018/01/11 | | Permalink

Bong-tae (played by Lee Jong-hyuk) is a cybercrimes investigator who is appearing on a cable news program to talk about his work. Bong-tae is a moderately awkward man who doesn't look or act like a cop at all, so the question is immediately begged- what could he have possibly done to warrant being put on television? Flash back to a couple of weeks earlier, when Bong-tae runs across Ryan (played by Brian Joo) busking in the park. These apparently random events are related, although it takes some time for "539 Yeonnam-dong" to explain how...More

2018/01/10 | | Permalink

Two leads checking something out on a bloody mirror is not exactly a descriptive pair of stills, but it's something and "something" is all I need to grasp onto during this slow burn of a promotional campaign for "Children of a Lesser God". Kang Ji-hwan and Kim Ok-bin look great in the newly released images and yes, I know that's like saying the ocean looks wet...More

[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Son Ye-jin Confirmed for "Pretty Sister Who Buys Me Food"

2018/01/10 | | Permalink

Well, this is certainly a casting biggie! Actress Son Ye-jin makes her return to Korean drama after 5 years, and with "Pretty Sister Who Buys Me Food" being an Ahn Pan-seok work currently courting Jung Hae-in as the man who is about to receive the titular food, pretty much everyone is excited about this in some way or other...More
