This fantastic feature provides some interesting insight into K-pop through the eyes of one of industries most successful composers, Erik Lewander: "With K-pop you never know what's going to happen especially in the session because the structure of the songs is usually… it needs to keep the interest of the listener so a lot of stuff needs to happen which is a bit different from making just a regular pop song. You need more elements, both in the track and also in the melody. You can't be too weird or out of the box with K-pop songs either".

"Emerging K-pop groups to perform at MIDEM"

The Cannes Film Festival may have recently come to a close, but there are four emerging Korean bands performing at K-pop Night Out concert in Cannes as the arts continues to flow. The Barberettes, Loro's, Coreyah, and Rock Cha Hak-yeon Roll Radio will all be playing at MIDEM following the start of the festival in March at South by Southwest in the US.

"From birth to death: Joseon life expressed in white porcelain"

Over 600 works of white porcelain from Korea's Joseon era are on show at the Ewha Womans University Museum. "The milky white body, minimal decoration and voluptuous simple curves of white porcelain were some aesthetic representations of Joseon scholars to express their neo-Confucian ideals". The exhibition is called "White Porcelain in the Joseon Dynasty" and runs until early next year.
