"TTEOKBOKKI (SPICY RICE CAKES)"

Made from long rice cakes and spiced, Tteokbokki is arguably the most popular street dish in Korea. It is, in short, "super delicious, umami rich and highly addictive!" 'Tteok-bokki' first appears in Korean history in Siuijeonseo, a late 19-century cookbook by a noble from the late Joseon era. Today, there are a few varieties of the dish, but here Sue takes us through the most popular version you'll find around town. "Tteokbokki / Ddeokbokki / Dukbokki (떡볶이) is definitely one of my favorite foods. It has all the elements to be liked. The texture, the sauce and the easiness! ❤️" Followers of My Korean Kitchen will know that Sue's recipe steps are really easy to follow; she always includes great photographs of her creations to keep you motivated; there is a printable recipe card at the end; and in this post, Sue's also included a short video of the process.
